Splitting of the Red Sea

*The Jews approach the Red Sea, while Pharoh chases them. (We took a white cardstock paper and folded over about 2 inches on each side. Then we glued blue "wave"strips across the top. With a razor blade we cut the "sea" open.
*Miraculously, the Sea splits and the Jews walk through on dry land. They also enjoy luscious fruit on the way. (We used more blue paper cut with pretty edged scissors, for the water. The dry land is a sand print of scrapbook paper. Fruit stickers are always fun and most importantly, after walking our Jewish people puppet through the red sea we inserted the small popsicle stick into the special slot.)
*Pharoh and his army chase the Jews right into the sea. (We reluctingly inserted Pharoh into the second slot, making sure he wouldn't get too close to the Jews.)
*The water crashes down onto the Egyptians and they drown. (This water is made from squares of blue tissue paper in between two sheets of laminating paper. We stapled this onto the back of the project and we love to flip it over onto Pharoh's head.)

(The puppets were cut out from the big Pesach book on Chinuch.org, contributed by Torah Umesorah Walder Education Pavillion)
